Prescribed Burn Planned Tuesday near Water Reclamation Facility

Beginning Tuesday, March 24, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue (SFFR) will conduct a prescribed burn of overgrown vegetation at the Water Reclamation Facility (4500 N. Sycamore Ave.), located near the intersection of E. 60th Street N. and Veterans Parkway.

Weather permitting, the burn is expected to take two days and wrap up on Wednesday, March 25. SFFR crews will be on-site both days to monitor the area until it is deemed safe.

Drivers are encouraged to use caution in the area, as smoke may intermittently reduce visibility.
