Street Closure – Arrowhead Parkway

Beginning on Monday, April 20, 2026, Arrowhead Parkway will be closed between Veterans Parkway and Hein Avenue to allow crews to complete the reconstruction of the east side of the Arrowhead Parkway and Veterans Parkway intersection. Motorists should utilize Six Mile Road or Sycamore Avenue to either Madison Street or 41st Street as alternate routes. Veterans Parkway will remain open to traffic at all times.

This closure of Arrowhead Parkway is expected to be complete in about six weeks.

Drivers are encouraged to use caution, reduce speeds in the work zone, and consider alternate routes when traveling in the area.

Lane Closure – Louise Avenue

Beginning on Monday, April 20, 2026, the outside northbound lane of South Louise Avenue will be closed between 49th Street & 53rd Street to allow crews to complete sidewalk improvements. One lane of northbound traffic will be maintained in the inside northbound lane. Southbound traffic will not be impacted at this time.

This is the first of two phases of the project, which includes sidewalk improvements on both sides of Louise Avenue from 49th Street to 53rd Street. The entire project is anticipated to be completed by the end of May.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
