The deadline to register to vote in the 2026 municipal election for the City of Sioux Falls is Monday, May 18, at 5 p.m. Offices on the ballot include mayor, at-large council member A, at-large council member B, the central council district, and the southeastern council district.
The election will be held on Tuesday, June 2, in conjunction with the primary and Sioux Falls School District elections.
Residents may register to vote at their county auditor’s office; the city finance office; the city clerk’s office; a driver’s license station; military recruitment offices; public assistance agencies that provide food stamps, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families and Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children; and the South Dakota Department of Human Services offices that provide assistance to people with disabilities.
