Street Construction Updates & Closures

Intersection Closure – 12th Street and Mable Avenue
Beginning on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, the intersection of East 12th Street and Mable Avenue will be closed to allow crews to perform curb ramp repairs.
Motorists will be detoured to 11th Street. Pedestrians will be detoured to either 11th Street or 13th Street.
Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed in approximately three to four weeks.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Street and Recreational Trail Closure – Silver Valley Drive
Beginning on Monday, June 8, 2026, West Silver Valley Drive will be closed to eastbound traffic between Snyder Circle and Marion Road to allow crews to make storm drainage repairs. Single lane westbound traffic will remain open. Eastbound traffic will be detoured at Severn Lane to Caughran Court, to 26th Street.
The recreational trail in Dunham Park along Silver Valley Drive will also be closed. Pedestrians are urged to follow the posted detour through the park.
Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed in approximately five weeks.

Lane and Sidewalk Closures – 41st Street
Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, June 8, 2026, the westbound traffic on West 41st Street will be restricted to one lane from Louise Avenue to Interstate 29. Alternate routes to consider are 49th Street, Louise Avenue, and 26th Street corridors.
The north sidewalk will be closed from Shirley Avenue to Interstate 29. Pedestrian traffic will be detoured to the south sidewalk along 41st Street.
Friessen Construction will be doing water utility work.
This work is anticipated to be completed by the end of the day on June 15, 2026.
