Lane Closure – Cliff Avenue
Beginning on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, the northbound traffic on South Cliff Avenue will be reduced to one lane at 20th Street to allow construction crews to perform underground utility work.
The outside northbound lane will be closed to allow Builders Electric to bore an electrical conduit beneath Cliff Avenue to connect new street lighting along 20th Street.
This lane reduction is anticipated to remain in place for approximately two weeks.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Street Closure – 19th Street
Beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, East 19th Street will be closed from Fifth Avenue to Sixth Avenue. The south sidewalk will be closed; pedestrian traffic will be detoured to the north sidewalk.
Johnson Dirt Works will be tapping into a water and sewer main.
This work is anticipated to be completed by the end of the day on June 9, 2026.

Lane Closures - Minnesota Avenue
Beginning on Thursday, June 4, 2026, traffic will transition to the east two lanes of North Minnesota Avenue from Second Street to Fourth Street. Construction crews will begin work on the west side of Minnesota Avenue, which will include pavement removals, replacement of a 36-inch diameter water main, storm drainage installation, new concrete pavement with a center median, traffic signals, enhanced street lighting, and streetscaping.
The left turn movements will continue to be restricted through the construction zone.

Lane Closure - Benson Road
Beginning on Thursday, June 4, 2026, the outside eastbound lane of East Benson Road will be closed at Cliff Avenue to allow construction crews to perform storm drainage repairs. Traffic will be maintained in the inside eastbound lane.
Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed in approximately two days.

Lane Closure – 41st Street
Beginning on Thursday, June 4, 2026, the outside eastbound lane of West 41st Street will be closed at Sheldon Lane to allow construction crews to perform storm drainage repairs. Traffic will be maintained in the inside eastbound lane.
Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed in approximately two days.

Lane Closure – Russell Street
Beginning on Thursday, June 4, 2026, the outside eastbound lanes of West Russell Street will be closed between Minnesota Avenue and Main Avenue to allow construction crews to perform concrete repairs, curb and gutter repairs, and joint resealing.
There will be one lane of traffic maintained in each direction in the westbound lanes. In the upcoming weeks, the location of the lane closures at the intersections will vary. At a minimum, one lane of traffic in each direction will always remain open. Access to businesses, homes, and side streets will be maintained.
The work in this area is anticipated to be completed in early July, and work on Russell Street will be ongoing through October 2026.

Lane Closure – Minnesota Avenue
Beginning on Thursday, June 4, 2026, the outside southbound lane of South Minnesota Avenue between 14th Street and north of the railroad will be closed to allow the contractor to complete concrete repairs.
Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed in approximately one week.
