Street Closure – South Grange Avenue

Beginning at 8:30 AM on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, South Grange Avenue will be closed between West 28th Street and West 27th Street. 

Double H Paving will be milling and paving the road.

This work is expected to be completed and traffic control removed by the end of the day on July 31, 2026.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Road Closure – East 16th Street

Beginning on Monday, July 27, 2026, East 16th Street will be closed from South Bahnson Avenue to South Churchill Avenue to allow crews to perform various concrete repairs.

Motorists should utilize East 15th Street to enter and exit the neighborhood.

Access to St. Lambert's Catholic Church parking lot will be maintained.

Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed in one week.

Street Closures - W Blackhawk Street, North K Avenue & North M Avenue

Starting on Monday, July 27, 2026, West Blackhawk Street will be closed from North M Avenue to North K Avenue to allow crews to work on sanitary sewer improvements in the Industrial Park area.  North K Avenue and North M Avenue will also be closed from West Blackhawk Street to West Cherokee Street as part of this work. 

Weather permitting, work is anticipated to be complete by early October.

Vehicle and pedestrian traffic should use caution when accessing the area.

Lane Closure – East Tenth Street

Beginning at 8:30 AM on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, the eastbound right turn lane of East Tenth Street will be closed between South Lowell Avenue and South Conklin Avenue. 

E&S Construction will be doing a concrete repair.

This work is expected to be completed by the end of the day on August 3, 2026.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Intersection Closure – South Hawthorne Avenue & South Park Avenue

Beginning on Tuesday, July 28th, 2026, the intersection of South Hawthorne Avenue & South Park Avenue will be closed for storm drainage repairs. 

Motorists should utilize other neighborhood streets during the closure.

Weather permitting, this intersection is anticipated to reopen in four weeks.

Temporary Lane Closure - Minnesota Avenue

On Monday, July 27, 2026, and Tuesday, July 28, 2026, northbound traffic along Minnesota Avenue will be detoured from Eighth Street to Second Street to allow crews to pave the center turn lanes and median curb along Minnesota Avenue. Northbound traffic will be detoured to Eighth Street, Dakota Avenue, Sixth Street, Main Avenue, and Brookings Street. Southbound traffic will not be impacted.

The closure will be in place from 6am to 4pm each day.  The work is expected to be completed by 4pm on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
