Street & Sidewalk Closure – Main Avenue

Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, North Main Avenue will be closed between Eighth Street and Ninth Street. The west sidewalk will be closed along the same area. The outside eastbound lane of West Eighth Street will also be closed for a short distance at Main Avenue.

CustomEyez Signs will be performing sign work to the exterior of a building at the intersection of Eighth Street and Main Ave.

The work is expected to be completed and traffic control removed by 4:00 p.m. on the same day.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Lane Closure – Cliff Avenue

Beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, the outside southbound lane of South Cliff Avenue will be closed between 16th Street and 17th Street. 

City of Sioux Falls Water Maintenance crews will be making repairs to a water main. The work is expected to be completed and traffic control removed by the end of the same day.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce speed while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
