Lane Closures – Marion Road Overlay Project

Beginning on Thursday, October 1, 2026, motorists should expect various lane closures and traffic control changes along South Marion Road in the area of 26th Street as final preparation begins for the upcoming overlay, which has been delayed due to weather.

The edge milling has been completed, and the joint cleanout along South Marion Road on both the north and south sides of 26th Street will begin on Thursday. Traffic control will shift as work progresses along the roadway, and motorists should be prepared for changing lane closures and work zones throughout the week.

The overlay is expected to begin on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, pending additional weather delays. Additional traffic changes and lane closures will occur as construction progresses.

The final phase of the project will begin after the overlay and includes joint repair work in the center of the intersection of 26th Street and Marion Road.

The project is anticipated to be completed in late October 2026.

Drivers are encouraged to use caution, reduce speeds in the work zone, and consider alternate routes when traveling in the area.

Street Closure – Hall Avenue

Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2026, North Hall Avenue will be closed between Benson Road and Sorin Avenue. Traffic will be detoured using Benson Road and Sorin Avenue.

Henry Carlson Company will be performing site development construction in this area. This street closure is intended to remain in place until the summer of 2028.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce speed while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
