Bidding of the project is planned for mid-July 2025 and an Open House will be scheduled after the contract is awarded. Details will be communicated on this webpage and via mail to residents and property owners in the construction zone and along 476^th Avenue and the Frontage Road.

Commuter Route Information

The intersection of 72^nd Street North and 476^th Avenue will be closed during Phase 1 and traffic will be detoured to 258^th Street, State Highway 115, and I-90. 72^nd Street North will be closed during Phase 2 and traffic will be detoured to 258^th Street, State Highway 115, and I-90. Local access for residents and property owners along 72^nd Street North will be maintained during construction at all times using temporary gravel access.

Project Summary

This construction project will consist of the demolition, realignment, and reconstruction of 72^nd Street North from North Seubert Avenue to 476^th Avenue. Project work includes installing sanitary sewer, watermain, and storm drainage. 72^nd Street North will be constructed as a rural gravel roadway section in anticipation for pavement to be installed in a future project. Portions of the project that were previously paved will be re-paved with asphalt after the completion of the project.
