Sanitary sewer installation has been completed, and storm drainage has been installed on the west end of the project, with one more storm drainage crossing to be installed. A water main has been installed in the west half of the project, as well as underneath 476th Avenue.
Asphalt paving at the Seubert Avenue intersection will be completed in early November, with the rest of 72nd Street returned to gravel surfacing. Construction is expected to be completed in late November, with some final seeding done in the spring of 2026.
Commuter Route Information
72nd Street North is closed to through traffic, but local access for residents and property owners along 72nd Street North will be maintained during construction. The detour route is to 258th Street and I-90 via 476th Avenue and SD Highway 115 (Cliff Avenue).
