A construction open house will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at City Center, 231 N. Dakota Avenue, in the Cooper Room on the first floor.

The public is welcome to attend at any time during the open house; this is an informal event with no presentation. Representatives from HDR and the City will be available to answer questions from the public about the project. If an ADA accommodation is needed, please contact the City of Sioux Falls Human Relations Office at 605-367-8745 or human.relations@siouxfalls.gov at least 72 hours before the event.

Commuter Route Information

• Phase 1A – the east side of Minnesota Avenue from 2^nd Street to 4^th Street will be closed
  • The west side of Minnesota Avenue will be open for head-to-head traffic
  • No eastbound turns will be allowed; follow marked detours for business access
• Phase 2A – the west side of Minnesota Avenue from 2^nd Street to 4^th Street will be closed
  • The east side of Minnesota Avenue will be open for head-to-head traffic
  • No westbound turns will be allowed; follow marked detours for business access
• Phase 1B – east side of Minnesota Avenue from 4^th Street to 8th Street will be closed
  • The west side of Minnesota Avenue will be open for head-to-head traffic
  • No eastbound turns will be allowed; follow marked detours for business access
• Phase 2B – the west side of Minnesota Avenue from 4^th Street to 8th Street will be closed
  • The east side of Minnesota Avenue will be open for head-to-head traffic
  • No westbound turns will be allowed; follow marked detours for business access
• Phase 3A – the inside lanes of Minnesota Avenue from Bennett Street to 2^nd Street will be closed
