Minnesota Avenue from 2nd Street to 8th Street Reconstruction

Utility work has begun on the east side of Minnesota Avenue. The contractor has been working on the installation of the new 12” sanitary sewer and will soon begin on the 12” water main. Once these utilities are installed, the contractor will shift his focus to the storm sewer installation.

Commuter Route Information

• Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction along Minnesota Avenue from 2^nd Street to 8^th Street. Access to side streets within the construction zone will be limited. 

• Please follow the project detours. Eastbound and westbound left turns will be restricted due to the single-lane traffic.  Pedestrian detours will be established to allow crossings at 8^th Street and Brookings Street.
