Arrowhead Parkway and Veterans Parkway Improvements

Project Update: 04/10/2026

The contractor is currently working on grading the two eastbound lanes of Arrowhead Parkway from Veterans Parkway to Hein Avenue. The concrete paving of this section is scheduled to be completed in the next few weeks.

Beginning Monday, April 20, Arrowhead Parkway from Veterans Parkway to Hein Avenue will be closed.  The contractor will remove the temporary asphalt transition that was put in place last fall, and then grade and pave the two northbound lanes of Veterans Parkway and make the connection to Arrowhead Parkway going east. This closure will be in place for approximately 6 weeks.

When all the concrete paving is completed, the east side of the intersection will reopen to traffic, and the west side of the intersection will be closed (between Highline Avenue and Veterans Parkway).  This will allow the contractor to finish the work on the west side of the intersection. All lanes are expected to reopen to traffic in late 2026.

Commuter Route Information

2026

• Arrowhead Parkway will close east of Veterans Parkway for about 6 weeks beginning April 20. Arrowhead Parkway west of Veterans Parkway will remain open. Veterans Parkway will also remain open.

• Periodic lane closures may occur in the spring of 2027 as work is finalized and general site cleanup occurs.
