Construction started on June 29^th on 72^nd Street North (Phase B). 72^nd Street North is closed to through traffic throughout construction; however, local access for residents and property owners along 72^nd Street North will be maintained during construction.

The intersection of 476^th Avenue and 72^nd Street North (Phase A) will be closed for about a month starting in mid-to-late July from 72^nd Street North to Slip Up Creek Road – the exact start date will be communicated on message boards a week prior to the closure, as well as updated on this webpage.

Commuter Route Information

• 72^nd Street North is currently closed to through traffic. The detour route is to 258^th Street and I-90 via 476^th Avenue and SD Highway 115 (475^th Avenue).
• In mid-to-late July, 476^th Avenue will be closed for about a month from 72^nd Street North to Slip Up Creek Road. The detour route is to use 258^th Street to/from SD Highway 115 (475^th Avenue). Signage for the SD Veterans Cemetery, Laurel Ridge Barn Event Center, and Mapleton Golf Club will be along the detour route, including northbound I-229.
