Work will begin on Monday, May 4 with the grinding of the entire bridge deck to prepare the surface for repairs.
After the deck repairs are completed, a polymer chip seal will be applied to the deck surface and the strip seal joint at the ends of the bridge will be replaced.
A special surface finish will be applied to the bridge barrier curb, a section of the retaining wall coping will be repaired, trees trimmed and chain link fence replaced.
The eastbound and westbound outside lanes will be closed.
Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in each direction until late May, at which time one lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction for three weeks. Work on the bridge is anticipated to be completed in late June 2026.

This project consists of the preservation of the 12th Street bridge near Grange Avenue. Work will include repairing delaminated concrete on the bridge deck, placing a two-coat bridge deck polymer chip seal, replacing the deteriorated strip seal joints on the approach slabs and sidewalk, repairing deteriorated special surface finish on the barrier curbs, trimming trees, replacing chain link fence, and repairing a retaining wall coping panel in the southeast corner of the bridge.
