Midco® Aquatic Center Rules

Hours of Operation

Monday – Friday: 5:30 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday: 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday: 12 noon – 5 p.m.

General Rules

All patrons using the Midco® Aquatic Center must bring their own towel.
No coolers, glass containers, outside food, drinks, or chewing gum.
One adult must be present for every five children under 7 years of age.
Children under 7 years of age must be within an arm’s reach of parent/guardian.
Swimmers must be attired in swimsuits, which must include linings and have adequate coverage.
No street shoes on pool decks.
All guests are required to pay the daily admission fee, regardless of intention to use the pools or other attractions. Reentry is permitted with proof of valid daily admission on the same day of visit only.
The Midco® Aquatic Center is a drug and tobacco free facility.
The Midco® Aquatic Center is a family friendly facility. Inappropriate behavior, language, or attire are not permitted and will be grounds for refusing admission or removal from the facility without a refund.
The Midco® Aquatic Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Guests are encouraged to use on-site lockers to store personal items. Locks are not provided for the on-site lockers, but locks can be brought by patrons or purchased on-site. Items cannot be stored overnight in lockers.
Individuals who have or have had diarrhea in the past two weeks, please do not use the pool.

 

Inclement Weather Policy

If thunder is heard or lightning is seen, Midco Aquatic Center management staff will make an announcement to have all patrons exit the water for a minimum duration of 20 minutes. Patrons who remain at the facility will need to remain away from the water's edge. Management staff will monitor weather conditions. The 20-minute time period will restart each time thunder is heard or lightning is seen. Once Midco Aquatic Center staff have determined thunder has not been heard or lightning has not been seen for a duration of 20 minutes they will allow re-entry into the water.

 

 

Recreation & Warm Water Pool Rules

One adult must be present for every five children under 7 years of age.
Children under 7 years of age must be within an arm’s reach of parent/guardian.
Flotation devices (water wings, life vests, inflatable tubes, etc.) are not permitted.
Small bathtub toys are allowed but may not be thrown.
No running, horseplay, or unruly behavior.
Snorkels are not permitted.
Infants/children not toilet trained and incontinent adults must wear a swim diaper.
No diving allowed.

 

Recreation Pool In-Water Play Feature Rules

One child permitted per slide at one time.
Patrons must slide feet first on all slides.
No crawling up slides.

 

Body Slide Rules

Must be 48 inches tall to use the slide.
Lifeguard will instruct patrons when to slide.
Ride feet first, seated on back or bottom only.
Do not stop, twist, or swing body.
Only one person can go down the slide at a time. NO TRAINS.

 

Sanford Health 50 Meter Pool Rules

One adult must be present for every five children under 7 years of age.
Children under 7 years of age must be within an arm’s reach of parent/guardian.
Flotation devices (water wings, life vests, inflatable tubes, etc.) are not permitted.
Small bathtub toys are allowed but may not be thrown.
No running, horseplay, or unruly behavior.
Snorkels are permitted in the Sanford Health 50 Meter Pool area for lap swimming purposes.
Infants/children not toilet trained and incontinent adults must wear a swim diaper.
Diving allowed in marked areas only.

 

Diving Board Rules

Must be able to swim across diving well without stopping.
Must take swim test if requested by lifeguard.
One person allowed on diving board at a time.
No dives or jumps allowed where your head comes toward board.
Only one bounce on board.
No goggles or mask allowed to be worn off diving board.
Use nearest ladder to exit diving well.
Only divers allowed in diving area.
No running, horseplay, or unruly behavior.

 

Splash Pad Rules

All guests are required to pay the daily admission fee, regardless of intention to use the pools or other attractions. Reentry is permitted with proof of valid daily admission on the same day of visit only.
One adult must be present for every five children under 7 years of age.
Children under 7 years of age must be within an arm’s reach of parent/guardian.
No running, horseplay, or unruly behavior.
Hanging of clothing or towels on equipment is not permitted.
No coolers, glass containers, outside food, drinks, or chewing gum.
Swimsuits are required.
Infants/children not toilet trained and incontinent adults must wear a swim diaper.

 

Dress Code

Swimmers must be attired in swimsuits, which must include linings and have adequate coverage.
Infants/children not toilet trained and incontinent adults must wear a swim diaper.
Flotation devices (water wings, life vests, inflatable tubes, etc.) are not permitted.
Guests are encouraged to wear water shoes while walking around the facility.
Shoes are not permitted to be worn on any slides, any other attractions, or on the pool decks.
