2025-2030 Sioux Falls Parks Master Plan

Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation is updating its five-year Park System Master Plan. This initiative will guide the development of Sioux Falls parks, trails, facilities, programs, events and open spaces for the next five years.

Regular five-year updates are standard and best practice for Parks and Recreation industries nationwide and are required to maintain CAPRA accreditation. Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation last updated this plan in 2020. This plan is approved by the Parks Board and Sioux Falls City Council as part of City Ordinance (95.027).

The process of updating the Sioux Falls Park System Master Plan is anticipated to take 12 months. See the timeline.
