Mission Statement

The mission of the Sioux Falls Human Relations is to prevent and eliminate bias and discrimination by means of education and enforcement.

What We Do

The Human Relations Office is a neutral branch of the City Attorney's Office whose purpose is to safeguard equal opportunities and promote civil rights by upholding protections under Chapter 98 of the Sioux Falls Code of Ordinances. The Human Relations Office provides training and education to ensure compliance with civil rights laws and enforces anti-discrimination laws through investigation and resolution.
