Mission Statement

The mission of Sioux Falls Human Relations is to eliminate unlawful discrimination and harassment, and to promote greater understanding, inclusion, and justice in Sioux Falls.

What We Do

The Human Relations Office is a neutral branch of the City Attorney’s Office whose purpose is to safeguard equal opportunities and promote civil rights, equity, and inclusivity. The Human Relations Office provides training and education to ensure compliance with civil rights laws and enforces anti-discrimination laws through investigation and resolution. Human Relations upholds protections under Chapter 98 of the Sioux Falls Code of Ordinances.
