City Moves Utility Billing, Parking and Fire Services to City Center

Published on December 15, 2025

As of Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, the City of Sioux Falls utility billing, public parking and fire prevention services are now available at City Center, located at 231 N. Dakota Ave., one block north of City Hall where they were previously located. Hours remain Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“Relocating these services to City Center is part of our ongoing effort to enhance customer service and meet the needs of our residents,” said Shawn Pritchett, the city’s finance director. “By bringing multiple departments together under one roof, we’re making it easier for people to get the help they need in a single, convenient location.”

Residents can visit City Center for assistance with the following departments and services:

  • Utility Billing – Payment drop-offs, billing inquiries and service assistance.
  • Public Parking – Parking permit and ticket payments, as well as general parking information.
  • Parks and Recreation – Park permits, event applications and customer service assistance.
  • Planning and Development Services – Pay invoices, request inspections, apply for permits, explore resources for new businesses and more.
  • Public Works Engineering – Apply for and obtain permits for sidewalks, sewer and water, and water meters.

Free 15-minute parking is available directly in front of City Center for quick customer transactions. Additionally, a secure, easily accessible payment drop box is located near the main entrance for after-hours check or cash payments.
