Street Construction Updates & Closures

Lane Closure – West 57th Street

Beginning on Monday, June 15, 2026, the eastbound lanes of West 57th Street, from South Ellis Road to South Marion Road, will be closed to allow crews to begin crack sealing. Once repairs are completed, we will be shifting the lane closures to the westbound lanes of West 57th Street. 

One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction at all times. Access to businesses, homes and side streets will be maintained.

Work is anticipated to be completed by mid-June.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Lane Closure – South Sycamore Avenue

Beginning on Monday, June 15, 2026, the southbound lanes of South Sycamore Avenue, from East 57th Street to East 69th Street, will be closed to allow crews to begin crack sealing. Once repairs are completed, we will be shifting the lane closures to the northbound lanes of South Sycamore Avenue. 

One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction at all times. Access to businesses, homes and side streets will be maintained.

Work is anticipated to be completed by mid-June.
