Ignite Academy
Ignite Academy is a 2.5-day awareness academy starting the evening of Friday, April 11, 2025, and ending Sunday, April 13, 2025. Hosted by the women of Sioux Falls Fire Rescue, Ignite Academy is open to all who are interested, but is focused on the female first responder.
Academy participants must be 16 years old or a junior in high school and no older than 43 to apply. Lunch will be provided both Saturday and Sunday, as well as snacks and beverages throughout the event. Supper will be provided on Friday evening.
Applications
This academy is for anyone interested in the role of a first responder and has an interest in what it would be like to work for Sioux Falls Fire Rescue. Applications open January 21, 2025, and close March 5, 2025. Applicants will be notified if they are accepted no later than March 15, 2025.
